Here is one of Stillman and Friedland’s favorite winter driving safety guides from the NHTSA, complete with winter fun in a musical snow globe.

Before you begin, we want to point out one child-related item on this safety checklist.

Heavy snowsuits for infants or toddlers are great for playing outdoors, but prevent the child restraint in your car from holding your child snugly in the safety seat. What’s the takeaway point? Dress your kids in warm indoor clothing, but use a blanket over the safety seat instead heavy outer clothing while using the safety seat.
