Contigency Fee Lawyers – Helpful Information

When Should I Hire and Attorney and How Much Will It Cost Me?

You should hire an attorney as soon as possible. A good law firm will let the defendant know from the beginning that you are serious and a good firm will direct your treatment in the best direction for your needs and answer all of your questions.

Most importantly, hiring an accident attorney early insulates you from the other side, which is usually out to hurt or discredit you. Every word you say, insurance companies will try to use against you later. Do not talk to anyone! Let your lawyer do that for you. By talking to the other side, you are only helping their defense against you, every time you give them information, no matter how trivial it may be.

For injury cases at Stillmand and Friedland, we work on a contingent fee basis. This means that there is no fee to you unless we win your case. Our fee is 33% of the final recovery. We will pay all expenses up-front and do not ask you to pay or do anything other than get treatment and to get well. If there are attorneys that ask you to do more, be careful!

Time is of the essense in accident and injury cases, so the sooner we take your case, the better we can do. After a few months, damage can be done and while we can still deal with it, your case has the potential to become weaker. When in doubt, call or email us any time.

In conclusion, your attorney must be your advocate, mouthpiece, and your friend. He must really care about you and look after your best interests, not his own! If this is not the impression you get from your lawyer, call me and you will notice the difference. We work with our head, but our motivation and care comes from the heart.

Hopefully, you will never need our services, but if you do, may you have the wisdom and discernement to choose Stillman and Friedland as your representative for your welfare and overall success!

Sincerely,

Jay Stillman
