Michael Friedland retired on March 31, 2026. He is no longer actively handling cases or accepting new clients.

He was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. His first career was in business, where he developed keen skills in negotiating and conflict resolution. After law school, Mike spent the first five years of his legal career in public service, where he gained experience trying cases before juries and judges.

He joined the personal injury law practice of his friend Jay Stillman in 1998 and became Jay’s law partner in 2002. Over the course of his career, Mike helped recover millions in damages for personal injury clients through jury verdicts and negotiated settlements. He was known for his empathy, patience, intelligence, and calm approach to case strategy.

Away from work, Mike enjoyed working out, reading mysteries, following Tennessee and Philadelphia sports, and spending time with his wife.
